It was all I could do to find anything on him. Suffice to say it's not apparent he played for Australia at all.

He didn't - David Clarkson a role model for Tasmanian youngsters

Clarkson went to Europe before it was the trend for up-and-coming players to do so. He was probably one of the best Australian players never to have worn the colours of the national side.
