Amex- front page of the Bristol Evening Post

In the aftermath of BCFC's visit to Falmer earlier this week, the Evening Post have gone over-board with a beautiful front page picture of the stadium nestling into the Downs, plus a two page spread, featuring another great picture, plus an editorial which ends "Brighton have shown that a stadium can be designed to blend in with the countryside rather than spoil it. There is no reason why the new City stadium should not do the same".

Great to read of a Championship club eulogising over what we have achieved!

God there are some uninformed wankers posting on that article. Brings it all back.

And thanks Cate for suggesting that we were stupid to sell our ground and then just expect the council to give us another one. Why didn't we think of that at the time!!

Weird to be a Brighton fan in Bristol with this debate raging...

My only problem is that, knowing people who know people, (so NSC that!), their chairman Steve Lansdown is on a par with Bill Archer and Greg Stanley, he is no Dick Knight in Shining Armour. Also, unlike us in the 90's, they have a stadium, no-one has actually sold it yet for personal profit (I emphasise the word yet) and the council have given them planning permission to develop a 29,000 seater stadium. Its the ching ching factor folks, and so far removed from the situation we face.

Saying that, the land they wish to build on is a dump.

The following comment was made in this article " seating is arranged so that anyone standing will not block the view of others" is this a fact?

No they've just put in those them park ride seats that mean that you can't stand up!
