...the stark realisation of 4th Division football has hit the Brizz Rovers fans here in the office today, and I can understand why.

It really is a shocking division with no stand-out fixtures at all.

...

That's a pretty good start.

It's all downhill after that

Wouldn't the Swindon game be at least something to look forward to? M4 derby and all that?

I think Brizzle could bounce straight back up though, hope so as I've always been well received at the Memorial Ground and as a club goes, it's one of the better ones

I've a friend on the staff there, and from speaking to him this week, those inside the club are very optimistic abouth the coming season.

They are well pleased with Buckle, and with the signings.

Not Luton! Thank God
It's the start of the season that always hits hardest when relegation comes. On more than one occasion I've clicked on a website link scanned at the fixture list and wondered why Luton's fixtures hadn't been listed, and then the sad realisation hit me. You'd think I'd be used to it.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
New rivalries are born by chance and sometimes you don't know whether you'll hate someone until you meet them. A night in Morecambe, if that is a place, might provoke a newfound despision that lasts for life.
The division looks dire, but they should have the belief that they'll go on an energetic run and move on back up.

I dunno. For one reason or another, I'd quite enjoy AFC, Hereford, Crawley, Aldershot, Vale, Stanley, Barnet, Southend, Swindon...

But, no, wouldn't swap for Championship.

League two is a dreadful league for sure. Although at least it's not quite as Northern as it used to be.
