Your loss, try it before you shuffle off. Cat & Fiddle Macc to Buxton.

Would have passed all the traffic 2 miles in on my Yamaha 350LC, sadly road now infested with Speed Cameras. Back in the day was good IOM TT practice...

Sorry Double Post! Wish I still had my Elsie...

Back in the 80's I regularly took part in the Beachy Head Grand Prix and the Littlington TT
Both were bat-shit crazy - pretty much flat out - about a dozen of us - before 9am on a Sunday morning.
Ride over to Eastbourne for meet, then up and over Beachy Head, down to Birling Gap, East Dean, up & over, down to Exceat and turn inland.
Whizz up through Littlington, turn left at Lullington and over "Ballaugh Bridge", turn left back to Seaford and then down the front for a cuppa and a bacon roll in the Cafe.

How none of us ever got seriously hurt was a miracle - it was seriously ballsy stuff.

My advice would be to not choose a victim wearing flip flops for your first attempt. This requires extremely high levels of fitness and specialised techniques.

Choose someone who still wears Crocs and bite him to death.

Whitchurch (Shropshire) to Sandiway (Cheshire) on the A49. About 30 miles of lovely twisting roads, a 750 Norton Commando Caff Racer and a chance to see if it could be done without dropping into 2nd gear (if lights were OK) - well I was 23, single and I didn't give a shit.

6AM is the time to do this sort of thing BTW. A bit of a IOM TT morning practice feel, possibly the best bike ride of my life.

Mrs Jakarta did NOT approve when I shared this many years later... punish:

Haven't flown a Spitfire:

All arranged at Boultbee Goodwood pre COVID by Mrs Jakarta as a 60th Birthday Present.

Who knows when it may happen now?

To quote Captain Darling "Made a note in my Diary, it simply says Bugger..." :lolol:

Having flown one 5 years ago for my 40th I can absolutely assure you it is f**King phenomenal! It is everything you can dream of and more. After 10 mins of flight over the south downs and the pilot turned round and said, do you want a go then, fulfilled every single childhood dream/desire I ever had. It was indescribable. I sincerely hope you get to do it and revisit this thread afterwards and go, yep, I know what you mean now.
