I don't blame Capello.

Capello has had consistent success throughout a long career. England have been a consistent disappointment throughtout the last 40 odd years. Can't pin this one solely on Fabio.

Just look REALLY he has to work with.

Poor Fabio. Only had Man Uniteds best player, Chelseas captain and playmaker, Liverpools captain. The best left back in the world.

Other top premiership players in Barry, Milner, Johnson.

Fourth best team in the world on paper - Shit together internationally:angry:

Capello's biggest weakness was not being bold enough to drop big name players who consistently underperform, e.g. Rooney.

Capello needs goals - so he brings on Heskey and SWP.

Can't really defend him there.

schweinsteiger and orzul were 2 perfect examples of what english football lacks, a midfielder who keeps the ball and is always available for a pass and a creative force who roams the pitch (rooney is not this..)

To be fair we were only outnumbered in midfield because Gerrard, Lampard and Barry were all pushing forward.

Have they not ever heard of a f*cking defensive midfielder?

Capello got it massively wrong. The warm up games are important. We put in 2 very unconvincing performances which set us up for this disaster. He STILL didn't know which team to pick by the end of those 2 games. Consequently, the team that played against the USA looked unsettled. We then followed this up with 2 poor performances and a win against one of the weaker teams in the world cup. There was no team play. There was no fight. There was no spirit. Capello is so much at fault for that. It is absolutely crazy to be sticking up for him. An absolute joke.

this England team should have been 5 across the middle. We got out numbered in midfield in every game....even f*cking Algeria. We seem to have a manager who wont be flexible and wont change formation....time for him to do one!
