I'm not convinced by all this talk of recreating those frightfully aggressive northern club atmospheres. Perhaps we should remain true to ourselves, distinctively civilised emphasising our southern sophistication ... a warm round of applause for our goals and a firm *tut* if they get one?

So the usual naff atmosphere then?

Not sure it was 'hostile' but cracking atmosphere all the same. Have to eat a bit of humble pie (no falafel) and admit our crowd CAN rise to the occasion. Let's hope that sets the template for next season and the mood can be a bit more supportive from start to finish.
