Hope in the Valley bus stop, Lewes

Put me out of my misery guys...I often use the Houndean Rise bus stop to get to and from the ground, but I can't for the life of me work out why so many get off at the stop before, which is in Hope in the Valley. There doesn't seem to be any nearby parking, so if you do this, why ?! And what am I missing out on ?!

Maybe the stables down the hill rent out parking spaces??
Or people might've parked in, or at the end of, the little lane on the north side of the road?

Failing that, maybe some BHA fans like nothing better after an Amex game than to go and tend to their allotments (beyond the stables)?
Failing that, maybe some BHA fans like a longer walk home?
Failing that, I have no idea........
