If you fancy a trip slightly out of town, you have some nice pubs and restaraunts around Jevington and Polegate

Any food will do at this stage... As long as I can avoid resorting to a chippy...

When I was doing some elecrtrical work in the Wish Tower Nora Batty was in there, so it can't be that bad.

Chatsworth is nice (although I've never eaten there)

I think the chatsworth could be the winner - winner of Eastbourne in Bloom 2005 apparantly...

Failing that - its all dahn the polegate harvester...

i reckon head onto the harber, nice and romantic for mothers day. if not, still close to the harbour Frankie and Bennys, then you can walk along the harber after

Hungry Monk in Jevington is nice. May have to book in advance. Or the Eight balls, also in Jevington (although it's a pub does nice food).

Couple of other good pubs are The Old Oak, Arlington and The Yew Tree (which will 95% certain be fully booked)

havent tried the yew tree - tried the hungry monk (the manager actually laughed at me - in a nice way), Grimaldis - East Dean and a few others... mostly round Meads.

havent eaten at the 8 bells in years...

I'll try and use the chatsworth as my 'banker' and keep plugging away (i'm on standby at nearly every restaurant in town!).
