Hmmm. I sort of get how you *might* just squeeze two syllables out of our club captain- like "Gree-yer", even if only for the purpose of a song (if we ever sung poor Gordon's name). MIGHT.

But if you're pronouncing our injured left back as Buh-ong, or discussing the defensive capabilities of Lewis "Dun-kuh", then perhaps you should refresh your memory as to what the word syllable actually means
