Hi Guys..

Not sure what the rules on promoting stuff are on here, so apologies if this pisses anyone off!

Just wanted to say that we're starting a pub quiz up again at Fogg's on the Seven Dials this Tuesday at 8.45pm.

Trying to get away from the traditional 'old man sits at the bar and asks boring questions that you don't know the answer to' model.. We're quite young blokes in comparison (both 29) so the questions are geared towards the 80s, 90s and present day.

We have a music round every week :guitar:, a round based on tabloid headlines from the past seven days and a '24' round that features questions about what's happened in the last 24 hours.

Stella 4% is only £3 , buy two glasses of wine get the bottle free :drink: and there's free dinner for every team .. Entry is £1 and it all goes into the jackpot at the end of the night.

Obviously, we're both Albion fans and would really appreciate any support from fellow BHA when we're not at home on a Tuesday night.. Away nights on a Tuesday may feature some kind of poor attempts at commentary.

Hope to see some of you down there..

:bhasign:

Sorry to be an arse, but Fogg's could be a great pub if they cleaned their lines properly. Had a headache for three days after having a single pint there a few weeks back.

I'll be sure to tell them that... Clean lines are very important. It's a much nicer pub than it was earlier this year. Proper food now which is always nice

It used to be the Compton then the Couch. Its not actually on at the Dials but on the corner of Bath Street/Dyke Road. Saw a massive punch up in there in 99 when England played Scotland.

Sadly the Crescent has the monopoly on pub quizzes in that area.

With a name like Fogg's a round on seventies wine bars would be appropriate.

Does have Ale yes, Harveys and at least one guest..

Agree that The Cresecent has the monopoly on quizzes but the problem is that it's so f***ing boring! Just an old dude sitting at the bar reading random questions with no theme, no relevance to anything that's going on and precious little atmosphere.. Sorry if the bloke who does that quiz is on here!

We're just trying to do something a little different and give people another option where they might stand a better chance of getting a few answers right!

Teams can go from two people to four or five.. Slightly depends on how many people are in other teams but we always try and be reasonable....
