Following last nights game, of course there are more calls for goal line technology to clear up cases when the ball has crossed the line and it is missed by the 12th official behind the goal. However, as evident by replays the goal should never have stood anyway, because the goal scorer was offside in the build up.
So potentially we could be in the situation where goals are awarded, when they could otherwise have been missed, when they should never stand anyway because of a previous incorrect decision... Is this right?
