Hugo Lloris

World Cup winning captain, but always has a mistake in him.

Anthony Martial

So much ability, but he's never going to do it in England.

Nicolas Pepe

Arsenal fans could've expected a better return for £72 million.

I dunno if I’ve understood the thread correctly but I find Erik Lamela very frustrating, in that he is a clearly gifted player but seems to waste it.

A load of Spuds and ex-Spuds players in this thread already :lolol:

I’d add a gaggle of expensive Gooners paid vast sums, who only turned in occasional flat track bully wins. Shit against top 6 opponents and anyone decent in Europe:

Ozil
Lacazette
Pepe

Pogba. Not exactly shit but how on earth he’s in the ‘world class’ bracket is a mystery.

What annoys me with Pogba is that there is such a big difference between his best and his worst he clearly has games when he can’t be bothered. I enjoy watching Roy Keane’s punditry when Pogba plays. He clearly can’t stand him and does a bad job hiding it.

OK, thread starter, they ARE good but we think they ain't.

Jahanbaksh (I still love that man)
Kane (verdict of my Liverpool supporting pal; Kane is total mint)
Hendo (Fergie said he's shit; I say he's immense)
Harry Wilson (slight difference of opinion with my old man)
Mings (he's very decent, when we take our Dunk-tinted specs off)
Peter Crouch (looks like a ****, played like a cool cat)
Aye Aye Ashley Ashley Barnes. Not good enough for Championship Brighton yet carves a career at EPL Bumley? How? Because he's decent, innit.

And the king of the lot? Martin Peters. The ghost. Did nothing at all.....ever....<sigh>

Hi Night Owl :lolol:

Henderson’s a fantastic EPL/CL midfielder who’s sorely missed when out injured, he’s held everything together for a decade.

But part of the England midfielders graveyard, where a stack of players have been played out of position/square pegs into round holes/in and our of the team - Hendo, Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard, Carrick, Barry.

Crouch was an excellent striker. Should’ve stayed at a big club longer, to clock up the goals.

I seam to remember Pogba saying who's he after Graeme Souness criticised him once. Pogba should have played against him then he would have known who he was as he left the field on a stretcher.

I think Roy would consider that he's doing a good job in not hiding it but, apart from that, agree completely.
