as I cant get channel 5 on my non cable tv's does that mean I cant get freeview?

How does it work? Do I have to throw away all my portable telly's?

I am in BN41

You can get it on Freeview.
Plug the box in to the tv and away you go:)

edit: misread that - go to the BBC website to check your area can get freeview, there will be a link somewhere. Or just google it

It's all about signal strength, line of sight, etc etc.

in a nutshell you need a good aerial :)

It does, you need a decent roof aerial though, a portable type aerial won't work generally.

What part of BN41 Dave?

My mate lives on the hangleton side of benfield vally and he cant get freeview.

I suppose it depends on if there are any hills etc inbetween you and the tv mast

Mile Oak area that isnt covered.

I have three tv's that work off indoor aerials...so I suppose I will have to chuck em

I have cable for the main one, but not paying more money to have the cable in other rooms

couldnt you pop down to currys in the morning and buy an areal cable for £20 and then hook that up to your roof areal and then your tv's or will that not work?

When they switch it on everyware the signal strength will be better as they wont have to share it with analogue so you should be alright if you can get normal tv now

No not at all, they sell similar ones in Maplin/currys etc.

Dead handy, although you can only watch the same channel as is on the 'main' telly..
