The football career is fairly short and many old pros have 20-30 working years left in them. Sometimes, a nice, quiet little job just paying them beer money is all that's needed to keep you busy

i assume a 'crap job' is one which either pays poorly or is in anyway degrading....

However, surely there will be many ex pros who have no wish to be a big time Charlie or run their own business. A working life without stress, targets or responsibilities, along with a bit of extra cash to supplement my already established financial portfolio sounds the antithesis of crap.....

I wish I hadn't used the term crap job actually. I don't wish to demean anyone or anything. My point, clumsily made, is that it's a real turn of events for someone who reached such giddy heights in a job many dream about to now doing something so humdrum. I'll stop digging.
