The Mirror did not have a single Brighton player in their team of the day and only Barnes scored above a seven our of ten - got an eight.

Yeah, it smacked of: "We didn't deem it to be a big game so didn't send a reporter... You, make up some plausible ratings"

What about the throw in near the end when he awarded it to Blackpool? The ref must have known the he got the decision wrong judging from the crowd's incredulous reaction.

Saying that, I thought the referee had a good game.
Furry muff. Hardly a pivotal moment though was it

Certainly wasn't a pivotal moment. But I'm not sure that's relevant. If he'd given a goal for a Blackpool player throwing the ball into our goal, it still wouldn't have been a pivotal moment. The game was won long before.

Curious logic - the ref gets 8 for what was almost certainly the easiest game he'll have this season. I think he gave three free kicks for fouls in the first half, including correctly booking Greer, yet Kusczczak, Calderon, Bridge and others did virtually nothing wrong all game but get lower marks! Just shows how meaningless they are!
