Fishing - where?

Mate of mine has asked where the best place is for some sea fishing along the coast - Brighton, Shoreham...? Ideally wants to hook some tope. Grateful for any tips on location or contacts maybe, Marina (?), to charter a boat for a few hours of a weekend?

Marina you will just catch Macrel and maybe Bass but its good to meet and everyone is nice down there

if you are dead keen you can get out on the sea wall off shoreham harbour and fish the night tide out..........get some soft crabs and it should be a bass bonanza...!!! don't tell anyone though.

I'm no expert - but why would anyone want to specifically catch tope ? Just curious.
