Mine was Liam Brady. I couldn't believe it when he became our manager! I so wanted him to pull on his boots again and play for us - even just a couple of times

Tony "The Tiger" Towner.

Halcyon days standing on a wooden crate at the front of the heaving East Terrace.

Kevin Bremner - saw him score a hat-trick against Brum in one of my first Goldstone games. Well, I saw him score twice and heard him score the third from outside the ground. One angry debate with my Dad later, we agreed never again to leave a football match before the final whistle.

My childhood heroes were Barry John and John Snow.

My first football hero at the Albion was probably Kit Napier as he was the first regular goalscorer that I can remember at the Goldstone

Snap (Kit Napier)

Wasn't John Snow the Sussex wicket keeper? (my memory is going in my old age?)

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Michael Robinson and Gerry Ryan

Do you think they would get in our side now !
Ideal foil for Knight and we really need a good winger....

Terry Connor! Used to get offside a lot and developed an uncanny ability to jump half a second too early for headers thus ensuring (1) he never won the ball and (2) he received minimum contact from burly, hairy-arsed centre halves.
