Today is the feast of St Nicholas ( 6th December) from Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) A fourth century bishop who apparently saved three children from slavery. He was venerated by the Dutch and Germans as "Santa Claus. It was the Americans who turned santa claus inot our modern father Christmas.

Just thought you would like to know that.
