Good Morning to you all.

As you may be aware, Farsley Celtic were recently expelled from the Blue Square Conference North, ending 102 years of football. Farsley have suffered greatly from poor ownership in the past, but had finally looked to be on a more stable footing under the temporary ownership of John Palmer.

John Palmer and his family, together with friends John and Dorothy Farrell had, in the preceding months, run the club on an interim basis after financial difficulties resulted in the appointment of Administrators Mazars in June 2009. After a number of months negociating the purchase of the club, the Palmer Farrell consortium had their bid rejected.

Administrators Mazars now intend to sell the land that has been Farsley Celtic's home since 1948 to the highest bidder.

On the 17th March 2010 the Farsley Celtic Supporters Club agreed unanimously to back the Palmer-Farrell consortium's bid to acquire the land. The consortium are the only interested party who have offered guarantees that in the event of their purchase of the land, non-league football will return and Junior Football will be preserved. The Supporters Club have received no similar assurances from any other interested party.

We hope that you, too, will back the Palmer bid. The Palmer-Farrell consortium comprises Farsley people with a deep held affection for the football club, and who have shown their ability in running the club.

I urge you all, regardless of who you support, to sign our petition backing the Palmer-Farrell consortium. Your support in this troubled time may help to secure football for Farsley Celtic for next season and beyond.

I dont think you`ll get help as much help as you might have in this quarter at the moment as we are up to our necks helping both Crystal palace and Portsmouth come through their difficult periods.
