Drove past the Falmer site today & the farmer was ploughing his field where the stadium is going to be. Is he wasting his time or does he know something we dont?

Perhaps he is planning on planting some Doughnut trees so the builders don't have to go in to town for them whilst they are building the stadium?

It's currently owned by Brighton & Hove City Council, under an arrangement that allows the Albion to take over occupancy from the tenant farmer when work starts on the site.

The thread title was corrected by a mod as I saw it as "Famer site". Tanglefoot is an alcoholic beverage, which would also answer your 3rd question

It'll likely be for winter wheat/barley or oil seed rape drilling; if that's the case it'll be harvested in July (OSR) or August (wheat/barley).
