Enquiry to the FA

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Why are people on this Board continually referring to FA corruption and alluding to conspiracies? There's no evidence of that and makes us all look like bedwetting whingers.
Football authorities in the UK aren't corrupt - largely incompetent, other than in commercial dealings on tv rights, yes, but not corrupt in a Blatter / Warner sense.g
Instead of writing a stream of consciousness rant, maybe a short note seeking clarification of the rules of the game in the light of the Stephens decision might hit home more effectively? Eg asking them if this sets a precedent that the extent of an injury must be considered when handing out cards and whether a player attempting an overhead kick or any other manoeuvre that exposes his studs must automatically be yellow carded at the very least.
That's the real and enduring issue here - they've just changed the rules of the game unilaterally and I for one now have no idea what constitutes serious foul play and what doesn't. If I were a player or manager i'd be bewildered and concerned by this course of events, and the game now needs the authorities to clarify the reasons for this decision and the implications for referees' future management of games.

The Hillsborough inquests have shown the FA to be a corrupt organisation colluding with the police. I realise that referees decisions aren't in the same bracket, but there is a sense of closing ranks & non accountability in both cases.

Looking forward to #RiversideMike's first match at the Euros. I'll be commenting on his performance.

I would quite like to have access to all referee assessor's reports - available to view by all on the FA website.

One of my mates brother is an ex-pro-ref and now a ref assessor.
He was assessing a game a few years back at Walsall [v Brighton] where we were on the end of a real duffer of a decision - I asked my mate if this had been included in his report and he confirmed yes.

I have no idea whether a ref assessor was present at the Riverside last Saturday, but if there was, I would love to read his report.

There's always been plenty of reasons to watch Hollyoaks, as long as the sound is off. Like her that's now in Game of Thrones - she's lovely.

Come to think of it, maybe just watch her on Game of Thrones.

Or porn. Porn would be a good alternative to Hollyoaks.

I'm not really sure where I'm going with this.

And he's not been back since . . .
