It would appear that England have turned into Sussex. Obviously, Pakistan are still enjoying the lunchtime buffet and any notion of a wicket before tea is simply clutching at straws.

For England to have even the smallest of a glimmer of a hope of a draw here we need to lose no more than 1 more wicket by the close of play today. Even then, it Pakistan win is still the most likely result I fear. Might be time for a rain dance.

It will be a minor miracle if we can get them to have to bat again. Although I do live in hope as years ago we were in trouble in a test match and I think it was May and Cowdrey had a partnership of 285. So perhaps Ali and Bairstow to both score 150 runs.
