Everybody getting excited, like this would happen in a world cup quarter final.

Germany only play well when it matters. Republic of Ireland beat them recently.

How cheerful, remind me not to be around you if we get promoted.

Could go with a thoroughly modern approach;

'I was hacked'
Who'd go to the trouble of hacking the second account of someone (oh I forgot) *brilliantly* pretending to be a blithering idiot?

You must be a riot to watch football matches with. We won. Just enjoy it.

I sense a classic case of deflection here...

Lineker was an amazing finisher. Is it just my old head going soft, or is Kane better at taking on players and creating chances?

Just taken a look at Wiki. Lineker was 24 when he got his first cap. Kane is still 22. It bodes well as Kane is still developing. Lineker is still the bench mark, but I think Kane will go on to be a once in a generation player. A lot of it is to do with partnerships though. I don't know enough to ponder that. But I do feel encouraged that it's not all about if Rooney fires now, or who will replace him.

The trouble is, unless he gets plastic surgery to look like Rooney he wont get a start in the Euros. Which is depressing.

Rooney will start but if it goes tits up it may well be the end of his international career.

Entertaining from start to finish. That was the England we know we can deliver, all it will take is a bit of bravery from Hodgson.

2 - 0 down against the world champions, win 3-2 with a quality performance and some top class goals roared on by an excellent vocal away following ... wouldn't happen in Germany.

The bas**rds have reignited hope in my jaded English soul that we actually have a chance in the Euros

I wish i shared your optimism.

I know many will disagree but given the right service Rooney scores and is very good.

I suppose the main issue is now he is captain he will struggle to be dropped

I just remember that night England beat Germany 5-1 in a world cup qualifier.

Everybody thought this team was destined for greatness.

As it turned out both teams qualified for the finals. England disappointed as usual, Germany got to the final, though they lost this time I think.

How I feel......

Saying it quietly, but we played very well and may actually have a chance!!!

England played with hunger tonight . Henderson and Kane especially were winning 50/50s all night. Rooney needs to stay at home. If he gets chosen ahead of Kane and Vardy then it will send out the wrong signal to every other player that you're only picked because of who you are/ who you play for and all the English players will have to move to the top clubs just to guarantee their national place .

Now for the rest of the season it is Jamie Vardy's mettatarsel watch
