Robinson 4 Apart from his howler no other real saves to make
Richards 6 Did very well with the assist, and looked fairly solid at CB
Shorey 7 one of the few bright outcomes of the game was his performance, looked accomplished
Terry 5 Out of shape
Rio 6 Played ok, still think he is overrated
Carrick 6 thought he played quite well
Lampard 6 very good goal but apart from that, nothing
Beckham 4 very porr
Cole 6.5 some bright runs in the first 30 mins
Smith 6 him and owen did very little, probably lack of service though
Owen 5 " "

Subs
James 5- had nothing to do but still managed to look dodgey
SWP 7- injected some pace and creativity, very lively
Barry 7 - calmed things down in midfield, played some great passes
Crouch 4 - had no chances, ball was just launched towards him
Dyer 4 - should of scored, hes not eng quality
Brown 4- only came on to see how well richards would play at CB

Mclaren - The changes he made, made no sense, sort it out! - 2

Robinson 5. Cant be faulted for either goal IMO but didnt do anything special either.
Richards 6 good 1sthalf poor 2nd
Shorey 4. England semi professional maybe
Terry 6 Looked assured
Rio 4 Pretty awful tonight
Carrick 4 not england class
Lampard 7 Good goal, got forward well faded
Beckham 5.5 good and bad points again looked unfit. Shouldnt have played the 90 IMO.
Cole 8. MOM, looked dangerous everytime he got the ball
Smith 4 Nowhere near good enough, might as well play Mel Smith up there.
Owen 5 Looked OK but missed a howler after Lehmanns mistake - we need him fit & in form.

Subs
James 4 - Very lucky not to get lobbed when needlessly legging it out of his goal
SWP 6.5 - Looked good on the left although very predictable
Barry 6.5 -played well
Crouch 3 - Made no inroads tonight - no service but didnt even hold the ball up well when he came deep.
Dyer 3 - Awful finishing but he's not a striker, why play him as one?
Brown 4 - Bobby Brown would have done as good a job. Not England class.

Mcclown 3 = Awful AGAIN, strange subs & players playing strange positions.

Robbo 5 - Oh dear. Can sort of see what he was thinking, and was unfortunate Schneider sliced it - but surely should, could have tipped the damn thing over? He'll be back, and better, honest.
Richards 7 - Good control and exciting and adventurous, wasted and faded a little in the second half.
Terry 5 - Poor passing, positioning and none of this influential drive he's meant to bring. A very good domestic centre-back, pretty ordinary internationally. But undroppable as captain.
Ferdinand 6 - A little sluggish but slightly more composed than others.
Shorey 6 - Promising going forward, bit naive actually defending.
Beckham 5.5 - Did he touch it other than his (awful) set-pieces. The American influence already, eh... To be fair, though, he did have to swim the Atlantic to get here, or somesuch equally exhausting, apparently...
Lampard 6.5 - Decent finish and seemed on his toes a little more than in recent performances. Should have made life more uncomfortable for an out-of-position Lahm though.
Carrick 5.5 - Decent defensively, but too quiet yet again. Come on, Carrick, you know you can do better if you really believe...
Cole 7 - England's best and most visionary player, with the most intelligent running and use of the ball - but that's not exactly saying much.
Smith 5 - Call me old-fashioned, but I'd like to see played as strikers players who are actually strikers, and actually look like potentially scoring a goal (at least) at some point. Ditto Dyer.
Owen 5 - Oh dear, again.

McClaren 4 - It's getting really quite depressing and embarrassing now, isn't it? And no fun at all. Seems to have no decisive grip of selection or strategy, and it might really be for the best if we all have next summer off. While Germany, if they can get Klose and Podolski playing well again next season, should be virtually nailed-on Euro 2008 champs. Ach nein...

But doesnt do a great deal with it after?

I only saw the second half mind

He was our most inventive player first half, well excluding Richards.

Beckham looked way off the pace, Carrick and Smith once again proved they are not international class and Ferdinand had some very dodgy moments.

I liked the look of Barry and SWP when they came on though.

Barry and SWP looked good and like they had a point to prove to the ginger plank.

Terry was ordinary, Ferdinand did not want to be there. Owen was not fit and Smith is not a foorward, but so many drop out and put club before country that the plank cannot be fully blamed although he does not strike me as a leader, but who else is there.

We will be lucky to qualify at this rate because we cannot break teams down, on richards and cole ran at the germans. depressing, but wembleys good

Robinson 5 - Poor error - but doesn't make them all that often. Still no.1
Richards 7.5 - Showed experience beyond his age
Shorey 7 - Looked confident and good touches
Ferdinand 5 - Edgey
Terry 5.5 - Edgey
Carrick 5 - Quiet
Lampard 7 - One of his better performance is an England shirt
Beckham 6 - Looked unfit - Should DEF be a starter when he is fit though
Cole 7 - Lively and good passion
Smith 6.5 - One of his better performances - Always gives everything
Owen 5 - Unfit and not usual self

James 6 - OK
Wright-Phillips 7.5 - Great delivery and shone in his short time given
Barry 7 - Suprisingly crisp play and distribution
Crouch 10 - Unstopable
Dyer 10 - Would have scored 5 but for awful luck - ie-someone moving the goal posts - which is embarressing when you're shooting from 6 yards...
Brown 4 - Uncomfortable

McClaren - 3 - Pretty shocking - WHY WES BROWN, DYER ETC ETC
