This man to captain England. I just have to laugh

As a Sussex fan it hurts me to say it, but he's shown with the 20/20 stuff that he is a very good captain, plus he is a technically correct and successful batsman, who has a decent test record.

Captain, and either open or bat at 3.

And whilst we're at it, the soccerball captain should be Carlton Palmer and DUSTY HARE could do a job in the rugger.

Well, none of the current team are up to it / ready.

TBH, the only more ridicuous suggestion here than Key, is Flintoff. wtf?

I voted Cook, but would go along with Strauss in the short-term (i.e. one or two years, until Cook is ready). Okay it means guaranteeing him a place in the side, but at the moment, and probably going forward, I'd rather have Strauss than Vaughan. And if you want to blood a new opener Strauss can happily bat at 3.

Sorry, but Ian Bell is a far more ridiculous suggestion. He has the worst body language of any England player, and is hardly an inspiring character. I know, let's put a quite, shy retiring type in charge :bla::bla::bla:
