My mum was holding my sister's hand when she (my sister) passed away a couple of weeks ago. Horrible as it was, it gave mum great comfort to know that she wasn't alone at the time.

A great comfort i’m sure ...but u can see why the OP said what he did ...it’s circumstances and ages involved that perhaps dictates

What I meant was he died going to the football rather than something like the tax office or the dentist. It was a horrible day all round for football in general that day.
