Roger Holgate, operates from Burgess Hill. Loves his football (well, Leyton Orient) and used to teach Dean Cox to drive! Thoroughly recommend!

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
That driving school in BHill is doing my nut in, they practically live in my road for some reason

It's because they moved the bloody test centre to Burgess Hill.

Swarms of learners all over the place, it seems they specialise in coming out during the rush hours, and using the residential areas for practice on the 3 point turns, reversing and parking business.

That really sounds as Davis Brent would speak. No offence, just sounded like it to me.

Just a question I've been meaning to ask for ages. Do people on benefits get help with driving lessons?

I have three near neighbours, all on benefits, who are having driving lessons, something most find a bit pricey.

I have no idea, but I see no reason why they should.

Reminds me of a program on BBC a couple of weeks ago about a street that gave up their council ammenities and therefore paid no council tax during the test. Now I didn't see all the program so I may be doing the woman a disservice, but there was someone on benefits who wanted the street to pay for a taxi to take her daughter to school every day (2 miles). If you have no job and very little money, why can she not walk to school ? The woman actually seemed quite nice, and recently had cancer, so may have had something to do with it, but there seemed to be no drive to do anything for herself.

Talking of driving instructors, there is this guy in Brighton goes by the name of Ted working under his company, XL.

Do NOT use him!!! He makes things up and takes as much wonga as he can.

Again, he is called Ted and hides behind the XL brand.

BSM all the way!
