Explain why there is no comparison?

The two don't equate to anything close to each other. You're comparing some peoples attitude, to not really giving much thought to a grown woman who died 20 years ago (Yes she was a mother and to some held on a pedestal for work with charities and having "the common touch') with comments made by a chap directly to a man who has lost a very young baby.

One is/are attitudes posted on a forum about a household name that will not be read by those closely affected. Nobody on here suffered life changing effects because of her death. The other was a direct post to the father who suffered a life changing loss.

But he won't be reading it on here either will he?

I think you have the wrong end of the stick. I'm not talking about people not giving their thoughts tomorrow for a grown women who died 20 years ago, that is their own choice and I certainly wouldn't compare the two . I was talking about some of the nasty and flippant comments that were made about sticking her head on top of porn stars or jokes about her death. My point is it's still someones Mother that's being slagged off in the public domain, yet when some pissed up teenager does the same on twitter about a footballers child, people are shouting for him to be hung.

Agree with this. Though I've not read any such comments on the thread. Perhaps I missed them or they've been removed.

25 years today, don't know where the time goes, still one of those moments everyone remembers where they were when they heard the awful news.

I was having breakfast in bed when my wife told me that Diana had been killed. I’ll always remember that morning because Mrs Q did fried eggs-instead of scrambled. You don’t forget those sort of things
