Ernie (the fastest milkman in the west) by Benny Hill

I actually love this song.

I can play it time and time again, such that I surprise myself. *It's out of tune and the backing track is annoying but there are so many gems in the lyrics that all this can be forgiven!

Oh, the pasteurised joke splashed in our faces.

The alliteration of Two-ton Ted from Teddington.

The swoooooon of a macaroon.

Heaven as a fairy. dairy land.

And the*ghostly gold tops a-rattling in their crate.

I'm not alone, David Cameroon chose Ernie as one of his eight records for a desert island in 2006.

Go on. *You know you want to play the clip once more for old time's sake. *And yes, it is as bad as you remember it:

I had the vinyl single back in the day. B-side was "Put your finger in your ear and sing Ding-a-ling -a-loo"

This has to be "Smile" - Nat King Cole.

Though at last count there were also 18,763 Bob Dylan songs.

Couldn't really pinpoint any that I 'love' but there are a few that I quite like. I suppose the obvious one that people would me suprised about me liking would be Ace of spades by Motorhead, as I hate every other rock/heavy metal record ever made
