Does anyone know if the league one cup will be at Walsall on Saturday ?? We are the only team that can win the title saturday so cant see any reason why it shouldn't be.I personally would prefer to get it at home infront of Southampton, just to rub there nose in it a little bit more. What do you think ???

It won't be at Walsall. It will be presented at the next home game (Southampton), or they may even wait until the Hudders game seeing as it's our last at the Withdean... Assuming we win of course!

It'll be the next home game, Why would they leave it until the last game of the season to crown us champions? ???

I think they might because otherwise the Hudders game would be a bit of an anti-climax. Nothing to play for, and we've already been given the trophy

Only problem with awarding trophy at Huddersfield game will be due to a big pitch invasion (as expected). Then it will be not so easy to clear the pitch (as last night) in order to put up the stage to present it.

I would think it would make more sense to present it at the Southampton match (as not necessary to invade pitch at the end) AND provided we get the result(s) needed to win it of course!!

As I said a few times on this board already, the normal protocol is for it to be presented at the last home game if it is won by then. So, even if we clinch it against Walsall we will have to wait until the Huddersfield game to get our hands on the silverware.

Can we ask if the FL will allow us to put it on a table display in the centre circle just before the Scumhampton game kicks off ???

it would be brilliant if it was at Walsall, it seems weird that you can win a league and then not get rewarded with anything at the end of the game. Thats the heat of the moment when all the players and fans are fired up, it would a more sedate affair if it was presented a week later, even if it is against Southampton

Then we can leave the trophy on a stand at the entrance to the tunnel as the players walk out against Southampton to a guard of honour, then we can walk it across the pitch and put the trophy and stand inbetween the two dugouts

heres to dreaming.

Assuming we beat Walsall (which is not a foregone conclusion) it would be nice to have the cup presented BEFORE the kick off against SCC, in fact we could get Nigel 'Keep Up' Adkins to hand it over.
