CRYSTAL Palace FC is recruiting its own games makers after being inspired by those at London 2012.

The CPFC Games Makers will be equipped with stadium maps, general information, details of train routes and a wealth of club knowledge to ensure that they are able to assist the fans.

And each volunteer will be dressed in an eye-catching uniform in the club’s colours of red and blue.

The club’s chief executive Phil Alexander said: “After being blown away by the Games Makers contribution at the London 2012 Olympics we decided to see if we could create our very own games makers, and the response we have had already is overwhelming.

Um, yeah.....you may want to check the Barnsley 'From the Chief Executive' PDF before you take the piss too much here.......

You may also have seen our new Match Makers out and about for today's match! Picking up on the Olympics theme of Games Makers, our volunteers are there to guide you, help you, and make your visit to the Amex as good as it can possibly be!

Have they been chosen from the criminally insane or are they the down and outs of Croydon? I seem to recognise someone who sleeps under one of the buildings in West Croydon in that line-up!
