I searched high and low and FINALLY got the album on 12" vinyl. The fake metal texture is actually embossed! I'm going to take that album sleeve to bed tonight. Cities is my favourite off Fear of Music. Or Memories Can't Wait. Or I Zimbra. Nope, it's too hard.

They make amazing music, don't do drugs and have a good image, good role models for kids (unlike so many other bands), promote good causes and give 10% of all their takings to charity.

they make decent music at best (i can't believe anyone is actually "amazed" at their stuff) and none of the other stuff you said makes them any better a band.........

i don't buy into all the slagging off of them as i do think they're decent........nowhere NEAR as decent as their success suggests though and nowhere NEAR good enough to claim the title of best band ever

The Beatles, obviously? Not even my favourite band, but the most influential/inspiring/genre-defining-band ever. Zeppelin, Stones and Who follow closely. As an Island, we've done pretty well, music wise. Best 4 bands EVER!
