A remake of Brighton Rock is going ahead - set in 60's with a backdrop of Mods & Rockers. Sounds like a mash up of Quadraphenia and the Original BR. Have not got high hopes!

I am also partial to the 1984 Roy Marsden remake, though wouldn't you know it, you can't get it on DVD.
The Robert Donat one, of course, is available.
The 1969 O'Toole/Clarke musical, which redefines 'bollocks', ditto.
The 2002 Martin Clunes remake, which is decent, also available.

But not the Marsden one, which is a shame. Roy's father, IIRC, was a schoolmaster, and it shows in a lot of his business.
