Probably mentioned already, but just seen it myself on bbc sport. Yes, it's a story from the sun, so I wonder how much truth is in it. All speculation at the moment, and Everton have said no-one has approached the club.

If Chelsea were to get him, then the club must be a HUGE challenge for league, cup and european titles.

Don't believe it myself, but if it works out.....BLIMIN' ECK!

Okay, i'll reply.

This will not happen for a couple of years, when Rooney will finally raelise that Everton will never be a big club. He'll play for one of the big boys one day (not Liverpool) and i reckon it will probably be Chelsea. Not yet though.

Isn't Rooney renegotiating the contract he agreed back in February right now? If so, this 'reported' £35M bid is probably just a spoof leak from his advisers, which they'll use as a gambling chip in contract negotiations to try and bump up his wage, and their own wedge.
