Charlton could hand a debut to former Celtic striker Tony Watt following his move from Standard Liege.
Yoni Buyens and Callum Harriott are banned, Rhoys Wiggins (foot), Franck Moussa (knee) and Stephen Henderson (shoulder) are injured.
Brighton hope to welcome back defender Joe Bennett and striker Adrian Colunga from injury and midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey from illness.
Right-back Bruno is also available after completing a three-match ban.
