Blue and White to Green and White?

OK, so he's gone, but how come he's become a Celtic supporter since he was a "wee bairn"? One of Virg's strong points was that he was striped through with blue and white - there was no mention of green and white hoops!

It is a standing joke up here that whenever a player signs for either side of the Gruesome Twosome up here, they ALWAYS have to state that they have always wanted to play for Celtic/Rangers. It's as if it's written in to their contract. I wouldn't read too much into it.
