Not sure if he can spot a good player. look at best, look at the benchwarming loanees.

Kayal is right up there as one of our best signings of the Amex era. His energy, creativity and drive is pretty much what has kept us up. He's looking like a quality Championship midfielder.

Hughton probably didn't have a lot of options with regard to loans. Unless you get someone from the Prem, you're getting a Championship player another team simply does't want - not sure we can blame Hughton for that.

If he brings in 2 or 3 as good as Kayal, he will turn this side around.

Annual profits of £20m would probably equate to a value of £80m for a normal business; however, the realistic potential for relegation every year would reduce that. Difficult to put a value on the Amex as it has limited use; it's not going to bring the value up to £200m.

Jeremy Pearce has previoiusly said he values West Brom at £150m and pre-tax profits there last year were £14.7m.... given the new tv deal, Brightons support base and the hotel, if the Premiership is ever reached and maintained then £200m could be a realistic figure in future.

There is no way he can sell and get his money back. Even if we were promoted, the club would not be worth the £200 million he's invested.

We're a ****ing whinging bunch with an over inflated sense of entitlement on here sometimes. This is our first shit season for 5 years, and we're calling for the man, who has poured a large chunk of his personal fortune into the club, to sell before the summer transfer market has even started.

Maybe his investment will be returned via other means? How much is the hotel worth in income?

Even without the stadium, it's a good location for a hotel right next to a main road and near a major city; I don't have much doubt that it'll make a few quid from conferences during the week and weddings etc. at the weekend. However, it'd have to be some sort of Vegas style superhotel and casino to make up the shortfall for how much TB is probably going to lose on his investment in BHA.

If TB was in it for the money from the hotel, he'd have just gone ahead and built a hotel somewhere without the hassle and expense of constructing a £120m stadium, £30m top quality training ground and covering £10m losses to keep the team going.

CH needs to bring in 3 strikers and replace the entire back four if Halford goes elsewhere , not to mention strengthening the midfield.

I'm afraid I no longer trust Bloom with OUR CLUB he tells lie after lie and gives fans false hope.
On camera two weeks ago when asked how he thought this season had gone he replied " its been a fairly good season" WHAT THE JUMPING JEHOVA **** is he talking about ????
And then goes into " it has to be no less than a top six finish next season "

I'm utterly lost for words with him at the moment.

On one hand, the fact that the useless Burke is no longer around should be a plus in the summer window.

On the other, CH thought that Leon Best would be a good loan signing ....

Unlike previous seasons there should be plenty of scope on the wage budget front as we offload on or two. The important thing must be to being in new players at the start of the summer not towards the end of august. We need to give mist od the pre season to bedding in a new team with CHs mark stamped on it. We can nor afford anorher slia start to the season on the back of the current season. At the moment I'm confident this will happen otherwise we will see the managers door becoming a revolving one where we only attract candidates looking for a quick pay off.

It certainly looks that way, building a property/venue portfolio and seems totally disinterested in the playing side of things.

this is how i see it tbh....!! certainly seems to be bereft of any footballing nouse but then again is it a ruse...?? i suppose after two failed play off ventures he would know exactly what and where we are lacking and may just think " feck it , i'll have an easy season or two" bargains are few and far between these days...!! Ironic that a novice manager such as SH gained one of the most prolific strikers ever to wear the stripes in Darren Bent all be it for a month, yet the vastly experienced Hughton brings in one of the most useless to wear the shirt.???

Who is that little bloke hanging about on railway platforms watching the Albion on countless away matches then ? Or perhaps he's up North scouting hotels. ?? A lot of other chairmen don't even watch matches...
What a load of old guff. One season where its gone wrong, in football it sometimes does, and all sorts of nonsense starts coming out to play. Frankly insulting guff too.

Brighton factually.....
Hughton wouldn't have taken the job without some sort assurance of support from Tony Bloom for recruitment in the summer. Even the Sky commentators were saying that at the start of the evening.

His current selection policy seems to be giving him a chance to have a look at the squad.

Is hopefully the correct answer, I fully expect targets have already been identified both free and fee after we offload several players for again free or fee. He can see what is missing and not working, I have full confidence in his ability to better this season.

Hopefully Chris has a few more gems like Kayal tucked away. Carayol also looks as if he could be good once he gets fit.
This could be a little wobble on our way to greater things.

It's not guff though is it ? The playing side of the club has been in decline for a good few seasons now, we've lost some big players and replaced them with some real shite !

If players like Leon Best and Chris O Grady are our future, then we'll be in League 1 sooner rather than later.

I know it's not our God given right to be successful, but with the level of investment off the field, then I think we should be able to expect more than the dross we've been served up this season.
