Can anyone recommend a good builder local to Brighton. Need a quote for an extension plus need some work doing to my guttering.

Yep, 'MILAN' - a growing 'small' contractor (because they do good work) around Hove/Portslade, and I've seen the work they did on two (unrelated) houses - outside wall/windows/paintwork and a fitted custom door which looked amazing.

An affable bloke to talk to, and his workmen were polite (I chatted with a couple of them outside of the house they were working on).
Give them a call, I expect they could refer even if they didn't do guttering - I've found that good contractors generally know other good contractors (a good policy, if a businessman is going to network!)

You have not been charged etc.

You might do that sort of thing, except I don't know how it would help to recommend people buy 'The Big Issue', on NSC.
