Brighton & Hove Bus Drivers To Strike

First the council squeeze motorists off the road onto buses. Then the buses are withdrawn. Great system!!!

Is that all we can look forward to in the future?

Nope. Industrial action is suspended.

The buses will now run normally on Saturday 15 November and Wednesday 19 November, according to Brighton & Hove Buses.

Management have made an improved offer to the union.

A punter in the cab told me today that one of the reasons for action is down to the "new broom" who came in recently to replace Roger French is insisting that the 30 minute break the drivers get after 5 hours work is likely to be shorter if they arrive at the depot late due to the traffic / roadworks problems.
If the strike goes ahead then i hope to benefit from the extra punters wanting a cab.
Every cloud and all that !!

I thought it was a legal requirement for bus and coach drivers to take a mandatory rest break (30 or 45 minutes) after so many hours driving ?
