I thought free agents could only be signed if they were free agents at the instant the last transfer window shut.

Is that the case for Andrews ? ???

It's either Emile Heskey or a cryptic message that Seagulls Player is getting an overhaul and will actually work.

Like the thinking but be real..........that's never gonna happen is it :lolol:

(I'm referring to seagull player actually working of course. At odds of 100-1 against Heskey would still be a better bet)

Unlikely given Stu Holden is still on comeback trail as is Mark Davies... Just don't think he's any better than Holla or JFC.

Agree about Holla but in the case of JFC .........

There again if Watford have terminated the loan agreement and Bolton don't want him back they could tear up his contract and he becomes a free agent.

He still wouldn't be free to sign for another club, outside of the transfer windows. If he was registered to a club, at the time the window closed, then in transfer terms he is not 'a free agent' (even if his contract has been torn up).

Would'nt be able to play until the next transfer window though even if they did, to be eligible you have to have been a free agent when the last transfer window closed.

How does that affect signing someone from the MLS like Henry or Landon Donovan who have both been released by their clubs.

I didnt think any signings could be made now til Jan 1st, free transfers or emergency loans, so I'm expecting it to be Father Christmas/Santa Claus to make an appearance at the shop or kids Christmas party.

A diversion away from Hyppia no doubt

Could it be someone from the North American League who use to play for Spurs! And scored a great goal against us in the cup!

When does the German winter break start and end?

Can teams 'sign' players from the Bundesliga if they are not going to play before the window reopens?

He was a bit hit and miss last season but he'd walk into the team ahead of Gardner, JFC, Holla and Toko. Some quality, experience and game management awareness is exactly what's missing in the middle.

Can't disagree with this. He's also someone who'll throw himself in front of someone taking a shot from the edge of the area - a position we seem to have conceded lots of goals from this year.
