The US and World Bank wanted to open up Russia to free trade immediately, Gorbochov wanted to open up Russia slowly, ensure stability, the social system was in place.

The CIA find themselves a p*** head, CIA works with ex KGB and Communist officals running the big state companies.

Bingo a "coup" is arranged, Boris is seen as a hero, Gorbochov is seen powerless.

Corruption takes over Russia.
