Has anyone else got an account with them, I opened one at the weekend and had a call and then email asking for a copy of my passport and front and back of my registered card.

It all seems really dodgy and I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them or knows how I could find out more about them/ make sure everything is above board.

When I spoke to them on the phone the lady also told me my name b4 I had given it to her which I'm sure is breaking some law re the data protection act.

Anyhows I basically just want to withdraw my money back onto my card and close the account but can't do that unless I provide the copies.

It's fairly standard practice that most adopt to overcome money laundering concerns and unlikely you will get your money if you don't conform. I don't know who bet770 are .. best to stick to the big names though I reckon

This is completely normal, but if u don't want to send ur details just place a bet that's likely to lose and lay the opposite outcome on Betfair. Job done

Thanks lads, Makes me feel slighty better about them. I really only opened one with them to get the free bet. Might have a little think about the betfair idea.

It's standard industry practice, mostly due to strict licensing obligations online gaming companies have to prove you are 18 or over.

Most people will use some kind of credit referencing service (e.g, Experian) for this proof, so it's generally rare to be asked to submit ID. However, if you failed to come up on a check, or if you are based outside the UK, then that's probably why you've been asked to submit ID in this instance.

Nothing to worry about really, I'm sure.

A couple of big name sites have asked for my i.d to be scanned and sent. It's the alternative to a credit search.
Thought if you're parting money with this relatively unknown company, stick to the main sites like the guys above have mentioned.

Bloody hell, Think I might just do the betfair thing, problem with that is, my deposit limited is only £10 a day so have to wait a week now to put it up enough to lay a bet

First off dont do that. Also you can change your deposit limit, but dont. Anyway set up a moneybookers account NOW and then withdraw the money. Dont mess about trying to be clever with betfair.

Seriously whatever you're thinking get on with the moneybookers thing NOW THIS MINUTE and get the money out. You probably still wont see it for about 4 weeks either. So id get a move on

won £100 profit from no-deposit £25 bonus on casino 770. Had to send docs etc - bit of a palava and had to withdraw before i could deposit but got the money eventually. you can usually see credible bookies by looking at who's on oddschecker IMO.

Exactly the reason why you should lay on Betfair. Hassle free, risk free, if u get the odds right you are looking at losing 5% of ur profit in commission, and it's instant - no waiting for week's on end

What do you propose he lays and at what odds? We dont know how much money he is trying to withdraw? Lets say its £100. Should he lay £100 on a 50/1 chance, which he will need £5,000 to do?

Whats your plan?
