Jam, Crawley Leisure Centre played about 30 mins max full skinhead mass riot, centre surrounded with police in riot gear etc as can imagine fans well pissed having bn ripped off with short gig but until then ranks better than Meatloaf and Bob Marley @ Btn Centre

Manics at Btn Centre few yrs back were good too!

The Crawley Leisure Centre riot was The Clash, I thought ?

There was trouble at the Clash in Crawley but the gig wasn't cut short - although the support act, Suicide, was forced off the stage.

did you see the 3rd band that night as well?

They were the Coventry Automatics, later to become the Specials.

Also memeorable for Jimmy Pursey taking lead vocals on White Riot during the encore.
