Does anyone know what his last post actually was? or how many he actually ended up making?

I think his last 2 posts were:

'Will we beat the Irish?' thread
23-02-2020, 15:14

and

'Team for Crystal Palace' thread
23-02-2020, 14:44

I would like to see:

Ryan
Webster.......Duffy.......Dunk
Lamptey....Stephens....Bissouma....Propper.....Bernardo
Macallister
Maupay

I'll miss that little pang of anticipation when you see "Last post by: Bens Grandad" on the main board.

This, and having really NO IDEA what might await you when you got to his post.

RIP, BG. A legend of this board, a true Albion fan through and through. The sheer variety of subjects that he contributed to extensively always struck me as being the hallmark of being someone with a genuine thirst for life.

I'll miss his rumours, his delightfully negative posts about the prospects of Sussex making a good first innings total and, of course, his appeals for technological assistance.

Rest easy, Brian. We'll miss you. It's the classic case of you don't know what truly got until it's gone.

Brighton / Hove actually
This is turning into one of the greatest threads on NSC, IMO. In the nicest possible way, I've never known a thread about someone's passing to be quite as entertaining!

I'd like to think he'll be asking someone for a stream on Saturday up there – and then getting infuriated when he can't make it work

To be fair those streams are nightmares waiting to happen and unless you are a computer geek or know someone who can fix your computer when things go wrong, you should stay well away from them.

I wonder how many links to computer viruses NSC had given BG over the years ???

Very sad news; condolences to all his family and friends.

Hoping that whoever officiates at his funeral/memorial service can fit in at left back, otherwise there will be hell to pay....

I think Kayal should be in the squad and be subbed on in the 76th minute. BG would love that :albion2:

I didn't realise that Ben's Grandad's real name was Brian Lisher. So I wondered if he was also on Twitter.

These are his only tweets in seven years. Bless 'im.

Beautiful post, and sums up my feelings. You've set me off again, on a day when I've had my own personal body-blow.
Its been a really strange, unpleasant day.

Farewell BG, you will definitely be missed. A couple of years ago I got into a long argument over the merits of Sky v Virgin I seem to recall. Still not sure which side of the fence he was!

But as others have said, he took a lot of flack for his strong views on issues but rarely crossed the line into basic insults. A lesson for us all.

I think you'll find it was never.

Patience and civility well beyond my capabilities. ???
