"All we are saying is give us a ground!" banner and red cards shown on Sky TV coverage of their match against Stevenage. We got a mention, saying Brighton have also been saying that for a long time.

We've been singing give Barnet a ground ? Must have missed that :dunce:

Hardly surprising as you never go to any matches.

The attitude taken by the council in Barnet is disgraceful.

Shame that the club did not get anything in writing from the Labour council.

This extract from thisislondon could easily have been written about those bastards at Lewes District Council:angry:

The object of their fury is the local council which, the fans believe, is not just wrecking the club's chances of progress up the football pyramid, but of survival at any level of the game.

Not sure why they didn't flatten the pitch in the first place instead of building two lopsided stands.

You must have forgot, they are from London and are not the most gifted people in the World.

This is a club that seems to be getting things completely right on the pitch and barring a calamatous change in fortunes will be back in the league next season. What worries me about Barnet is that they may become another MK Dons if the Chairman is unable to redevelop the ground, he could quite easily move them elsewhere.

Sitting on the edge of a large city which is more than blessed with choices of teams to support Barnet have managed to survive off their scraps, this is a testament to not only the club but the fans for continued support. It would be a sad day if the short sightedness of yet another council to support what is a community asset sees them forced to move elsewhere.

Remember playing them on Boxing Day a few years back. We had more fans in the ground then they did.

Went to Barnet for a Conference game on Boxing Day a few years ago, there were more there for a game against Altrincham than at a home game for Wimbledon in the first division.

I remember playing them on Bonfire night at Priestfield in 1997, I was sitting on the wall by the chip shop and the Barnet supporters coach drove by with their fans giving it large. They won 3-0 and the attendence was 1,025.

And that DP is probably the lowest point in our club's history, and there have been plenty to choose from.
