Back-To-Back Promotions

Okay, so it's a massive great if, but with us and Saints in the reckoning.....

How many times have two sides got back-to-back promotions from the same divisions? I've genuinely got no idea, but I think it must be a pretty rare thing?

I don't know... but I do know that Brighton were only the 7th team to win consecutive divisions of the Football League.

MK Dons & Posh were close to doing it a few years ago. Both came up from League Two in 07/08, then Posh went straight up again (finishing 2nd), whilst MK Dons just missed out on auto, finishing 3rd - and were eventually knocked out in the play-off semis.

Reading have got a much more tougher run in that us. Their last 4 away games are us, Albion, Brum and Wham (not in that order).

It would be ludicrous if Alb and Saints both were in the Prem. Were it to happen I wouldnt believe it until I see the shirts being sold with the Prem logo on the sleeves.
