You’re right that I don’t go to home games at the moment. I’m still entitled to comment on them though. I’m a BHA fan and will hopefully go again at some point. Lots of home fans comment on threads about incidents at away matches without attracting the thread police.
There were Arsenal fans who played up and were removed. Not much more the club can do other than continue doing that. My comments were simply around the outrage of some that they have to put up with it. Nobody wants people to be inconvenienced but on this occasion they were. There is a more grown up reaction.
Defend who you wish but don’t take it out on me because you are irritated about something that happened at a football match.

I think you were wrong telling fellow BHA fans to not be pathetic and cry on here, also to grow up because they reported on this thread about issues on Saturday.

Despite some of the disagreements above I sense we’re all coming close to agreeing that if you’re an away fan in the home end you should sit on your hands and don’t be a nob, and that the club could probably do more to remove nobs. I think that’s enough nob talk for now (clearly I’ve been exposed to too many Carry On films over the break).

There was at least 3 fans in the east lower near me who were blatantly wearing Arsenal colours. At the absolute least the stewards should be asking them to remove or cover up, and if it’s not already in the ticketing T&Cs that wearing away colours in a home stand gets you kicked out then it should be.

Yes, i am very grateful for everything Tony Bloom has done for MY football club. All £350 million plus of it

Ignoring the 2 trolls on this thread for a minute, have you ever attended Albion away and had to sit in the home end? I have several times. Was I ever ejected? No because I didn't act like a Roadman and loudly cheer and mention Albion players names every 20 seconds. I've got nothing against Arsenal fans sitting right next to me as long as they don't take the piss, alas far too many of them seemed to feel entitled enough to act as if they were at the Emirates. The other question it raises is were these tickets on the exchange or did Albion ST holders stupidly sell their tickets on ?

Did it annoy me and wind me up? Yes of course it did, I want to watch the match with Albion fans not with a couple of away nobbers r8ght behind me gobbing off and acting like dicks and then Increasing that behaviour when told to wind it in.

Never with Brighton, but I got ejected and “banned” (they didn’t take my name or address) from Salford City when I went with my flatmate who supported Oldham and I volunteered to go in the home end so her Oldham supporting friend could go in the away end. Got chatting to another Oldham fan in the home end and after they scored a late equaliser celebrated after consuming too many ales. A Salford fan called me a C*** and I told he was fake United fan, all in all fun day out would recommend 8/10. Also got ejected from Sutton into the away end when I went with a Swindon fan I work with, that wasn’t my fault though solely his for celebrating (too much cider this time), but I had to follow. I was surrounded by Palace when I was in the home end so wasn’t all bad, Jonny Williams scored the Sutton goal so they were happy with that anyway.

You have been trying to get at anyone mentioning the away tickets all through this thread. You really didn’t have to use the comments in your last to posts that were really aimed at anyone that had dared to complain about the behaviour of Arsenal fans on Saturday……many Albion fans have posted genuine comments, we should be able to sit with fellow Albion fans if we buy a ST.

You suddenly piping up with the childish comments “fans crying about having away fans around them” and telling Albion fans to “grow up” is wrong. This is the thread for Albion fans to comment/ complain about Arsenal fans in the home stands.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think you go to home games anymore, so I don’t think you are in a position to knock ST buying fans on this subject.

Yeah you’ve got to remember anyone that passed on an away ticket because they were ill should be put on trial at The Hague

Club do not help the situation, I have been in the wrong end before, but I showed respect ie no colours or celebrating etc. Why do the club let people wearing shirts / scarves of opposition in. Should make it clear on tickets / when buying ticket. No wearing of other team merchandise or no entry, also any celebrating goals etc and u will be thrown out. The fact that theysee other fans in arsenal shirts in home end emboldens them,. and gives stewards a harder time dealing with them as they feel there are no rules in place to stoping alway fans getting in.

I take my two young boys in the esl and after first goal a couple of arsenal fan jumped up. Because nothing was done when they scored second around 15 in different areas ariund jumped up! By the time third went this had progressed too 2 bloke and a woman celebrating and turning round sticking there fingers up to the Brighton fans around them as well as giving a lot of mouth. I do not pay all this money for three season tickets to given given a load of abuse in the home end by away fans! I am confident this would not have happened if they stopped anyone getting entrance with away colours in/ if seen wearing colour in home end ejected straight away, and more importantly had ejected the first two who jumped up after the first goal! Seems they are more worried about bottle tops!!!!

As I posted at the time, the club shop was selling BHAFC t-shirts to those wearing WHU shirts last home game of last season. The WHU fans were then putting the BHAFC t-shirts on over their WHU shirts. If I saw it, so did the store staff and matchday stewards.

But all PB will be worried about is the kerrching at the tills. IMO the club certainly is not doing enough to keep away supporters out of home seats.

Indeed. With no impact on the bottom line - and no positive PR potential - this matter will be far down the list of priorities for Paul Barber OBE...
