Actually, as I moved away from Portslade right at the end of 1979, I would like to say that in fact it's been black and white since then.

Peter Gladwin, Easthill rec, The Mill House, Alberts' Seagulls FC, Parker Court, jumpers for goalposts, knocking on the door of the hardware shop at 1am shouting "Fire!", aaagghhh, the memories come flooding back.

If you left Portslade in 1979, you must have been an inaugral member of Peter Gladwin? Or near enough!

I went to St Nicholas for one year - before transferring to Benfield - it's true it was black and white .... but the grass (and uniform) was always greener at Benfield!!!
