I heard the first part of the course is a real piece of piss, ie mortise and tenon joints, dovetail joints and general joinery. It is the last module where most fail, performing miracles and walking on water.

Nothing wrong with the carpenter who made and fitted that gate. It`s just that the maintenance plan was not adhered too.
5 years with nothing so much as a lick of stain or varnish you lazy git.
