Only realised it wasn't Israel when the electronic scoreboard came into view. Why would an English language broadcaster not use ICE - there's not even an S in Iceland FFS!Not sure if that was meant as a joke, but Iceland = ISL, Israel = ISR

I didn't realize FIFA had an official list. They seem to be treating their members like airports! I hope the CAA are better with the abbreviations though, eg SWZ isn't Switzerland! (I realize Suisse is probably more common amongst European languages).Presumably because of these:

my daughters boyfriend is sock boys cousin , the word is that there are many very talented Irish lads in the Emerald Isle but most of them just don't have the pro attitude to fitness and diet ( mainly liquid) i hope this young fella is as good as they say he is.

my daughters boyfriend won 3 A grade medals with sorrento fc before unfortunately suffering a catastrophic knee injury whilst on tour in south america , venezuela to be precise .........he's an electrician now and a lovely lad , " shitehouse" really isn't the way forward here....we have frequently talked about McGinn as he has a lot of family around Brum and the word is from him and his dad the McGinn aint really even all that ......but look at him go , you see harry , with kids , it's all about belief , faith and confidence ............Britain strangles most of its talent in the cradle.
But the question is why use their national language: Finland isn't SUO, Germany isn't DEU, Hungary is not MAG, Wales isn't CYM - why is Iceland singled out?

I'v not seen him either but based on how great our scouting is perceived to be I'd guess he's a cross between Mitoma, Caicedo, Ferguson, Ally Mac and Enciso. He's probably half decent in goal too.
